Enclosed Disconnect Switch

An enclosed motor disconnect switch allows power feeding an electric motor to be disabled and locked out for maintenance. The national electrical code requires a disconnect switch to be installed within the operators line of sight. Disconnects can be wired using single phase or three phase power up to 600 VAC. The maximum horsepower rating changes based on the power being supplied.
